Faith work

Reaching those on the edges.

Faith

Junction 42 supports the work of the Chaplaincy in prison establishments across the region. We encourage individuals on their faith journey and support them pastorally during their time in prison.

Prison

We build and maintain relationships with those who are approaching release and want to be supported in their faith. Volunteer “Linkers” see individuals through the gate and continue to support them in the community.

The gate

The Connect Network partners with churches across the region to develop relational communities naturally and organically, communities where those who have found a faith in prison can contribute and thrive.

Faith Delivery

Prison

Our team of staff and volunteers works alongside Education, Regimes, and Chaplaincy to deliver programmes that engage and support individuals in prison. Our work in custody empowers individuals to see their potential and to see how they can bring transformation in their own lives.

Providing Support

Having relationships with numerous

partner churches across the region,

we train and equip volunteers to support

the faith work we do in prison. These

volunteers provide a relational connection

between the community and the prison.

Our volunteers use prison faith groups,

letter writing and prison visits to

build relationships while individuals

are inside and then also

maintain those relationships outside

increasing stability and providing

support during the chaotic time of

being released from prison.

Community

Connect Network

Community

In the community, we facilitate the Connect

Network which provides support and resource

to the local church and other faith-based

groups, helping them to create safe and

supportive worshipping communities.

The weekly meetings of each Connect

group create community, encourage

independence and empower transformation

in the lives of offenders, as well as the

lives of their families and friends. The

Connect communities involve eating

together, worship and learning more

about faith through teaching, Bible

study and prayer. Junction 42 coordinates

the Connect Network which provides

opportunities and training including

practical resources, staff support,

residential weekend and Leadership

Training School.
