Mentoring

Nigel and Shaun

For offenders who want support to change, seeing the same people “inside and outside” is invaluable. Our prison workers link prison leavers into our existing support and mentoring communities where ex-offenders will see the same supportive faces but also feel part of a new community that leaves prison well and truly behind. We also invest in training the local church to be able to accept and support prison leavers in a way that is relevant to all.

We have an established programme of mentor training so that, in addition to the support of churches, individuals can come forward and being equipped to provide deeper, one-to-one support.

This short film tells you exactly what Connect Mentoring is all about. Hear first hand experiences from those directly involved and find out what it’s really like to be a mentor.
